PAST EVENTS

>> TEPS had the honor of investigating the Rose and the Raindrop Restaurant in Portland just before it closed.  Tom Field, owner, was very gracious and gave us unlimited access to all parts of the restaurant including the two parts of the basement that once housed the morgue and cremation area of a funeral home.  Check back later to see our preliminary and final reports including EVPs.

>> TEPS was invited to Eugene to participate in a session of the Community Conversations program on the 22nd of February, 2005 at the University of Oregon. We were joined by Martina & Todd Baker of Pacific Paranormal Research Society who, as usual, gave an educational and fun talk on ghosts and EVP. Sara presented a lecture entitled "The Science and Culture of Paranormal Research and Investigation" that was very well received and filmed for on-campus closed-circuit television.

>> November 12 & 13, 2005 Catherine, Adrienne & Jim Duncan and Sara Lessley of TEPS attended the 3rd Annual PNW Ghost Hunters Conference "Ghost Hunters Getaway" in Port Townsend, WA, hosted by A.G.H.O.S.T. Saturday, Sara presented a lecture on the TEPS investigation at the James & Hastings Building on Water Street of Port Townsend conducted May of '05.

>> On Tuesday, November 8, 2005 Katie Murphy and Sara Lessley of TEPS presented a lecture on ghosts to the students at Ackerman Middle School in Canby. TEPS was very excited about this opportunity to educate the fear out of the paranormal and are pleased to report that the presentation was well-received. Sara and Katie showed the kids some of the equipment TEPS uses in investigations and how dowsing rods work to detect EMF and unmarked graves along with a PowerPoint presentation on the basics of understanding ghosts. The teacher who invited us was prompted by their current study of Shirley Jackson's "The Haunting of Hill House." We hope to be able to do more presentations like this in the future to all types of groups.

>> Interview on K-PAM 860 AM Radio "The Talk Station" with news reporter Tim Hohl about ghosts in the Oregon City and Portland areas aired the morning of 10/31/05.

Portland Monthly Magazine Article
Trails End Paranormal Society was featured in the October 2006 issue of PORTLAND MONTHLY magazine. Reporter Kasey Cordell focused her coverage on our reclaiming of Sanders Cemetery.  A photoshoot was held at Sanders and used in magazine article.  During the shoot one of the member took an image of the photographer and member .  The photographer was using theatrical smoke for effect.  In the image you will see the member and someone in the fog looking over her shoulder.  Our sensitives say this is Jacob.  A teenager that was buried in a nearby cemtary and visits the other children in Sanders.  Click here to see the image on our photos page.

University of Oregon Ghost Hunting Panel

TEPS was honored to have been invited back to participate with other Oregon paranormal researchers in Ghost Hunting 101, which was showcased in the Fall 2006 Schedule for Community Conversations.  Well over 200 people attended the conference.  After the panel discussion the panel broke up into areas in the pioneer cemetery on campus and lead smaller groups through investigative research.

One TEPS member found an abnormally high EMF area about 3 feet above one tombstone.  It was concentrated in an area about 2 feet square.  They were not able to find the source.  The EMF was above the tombstone of an adult male.  A small child was buried next to him.  She would have been about 3 feet tall.  The EMF appeared to communicate with participants.

Prior to the panel discussion a local television station interviewed the two TEPS members on the panel and did a report seen in Eugene and Portland.  The anomaly was documented by the television crew.
